Default Database Connection Pooling

I have recently been looking into Pooling and am still concerned about having my DB connection open from the Global.asa
My concern as the "DBA" is the DB secure ?

    Default RE: Database Connection Pooling

Have you left the database connection open during the entire user session or worse the application session? I would have the connection opened and closed for each http request, i.e., from each asp page.
SQL Server will pool the connection as long as the connection string is identical for each opened connection.

    Default Ugh...never do that...

NEVER open a DB connection and then store the connection in either a Session or Application variable.

Among other things, you just defeated the entire purpose of pooling.
