Hi All,

I know you've all probably heard this a billion times already, but I'm having big problems searching between two dates in Access. I've followed the advice of FAQ 59, but to no avail.

Here's what I'm trying to do. I'm using drop-down lists to ask the user to select a start date (day, month and year) and an end date (likewise).

In the Access database I've set the Date/Time field to Short Date (01.01.01).

Here's the code I'm using to perform the search:

fromday = request.form("FromDay")
frommonth = request.form("FromMonth")
fromyear = request.form("FromYear")
today = request.form("ToDay")
tomonth = request.form("ToMonth")
toyear = request.form("ToYear")

fromdate = fromday & "." & frommonth & "." & fromyear
todate = today & "." & tomonth & "." & toyear

fromdate = CDate(fromdate)
todate = CDate(todate)

SQL = "Select * from Device Where Date_of_Delivery Between #" & fromdate & "# AND #" & todate & "#"
set RStest1 = Conn.Execute(SQL)

But I keep getting a "syntax error in date in query expression" message? Please help!

Cheers,

Chris.
