I thought you had it working 20 minutes ago!

What problems? Have you contacted Tech support at persits etc?

Btw, there's a whole host of upload components - www.aspin.com.

Craig.
...that possibly ruling out using ASPUpload just because you're having some trouble installing it is maybe a bit drastic, that's all.

But by all means have a search around aspin.com - there are loads of others. In fact, if you're that bothered, there are "pure ASP" versions (Google), and even tutorials on how to write your own (15seconds.com) around.

Craig.
George Petrov has a very good ultradev extension called pure asp upload. I have a copy of the old extension. If you let me know your email address I will send it to you. To get the latest version you will need to pay a small fee.

Regards
SIP
Talking of uploading. I don't know if anyone can help with this, but I am uploading a file from a file box in a form. I can get the file to upload to a folder but I need the location of the file to be added to my DB so it can be linked on a results page.

If I say browse to a folder thats 'c:stuffdocssomedocs.doc' it gets added to the database as 'somedocs.doc'. I need it to have the path to my downloads folder included before the 'somedocs.doc' filename.

Any ideas?

We have a Windows 2000 server with MSSQL 7. When we rebotted the machine after installing it - it caused problems with user permissions on SQL Server.

I did write an e-mail to Persist but they just said it shouldn't be anything to do with it. They maybe right - but the people who i work with are convinced it is as this is the only extra thing that has been installed on the server.
...I remember this from the other day.

Hmm, I've never heard of the "pure ASP" script that "sip" is on about. If it's an Ultradev Extension, I wouldn't personally use it. But there are some very good versions out there. They get around registering components etc.

And the tutorial on 15seconds.com is quite straight-forward. I wrote an upload DLL using it in a couple of days.

If you want something pre-built though, hit aspin.com.

Craig.
