Ok. I have purchased my web hosting for a potentially very large site. I wish to structure use sub domains..

images.mydomain.com
mail.mydom ain.com
templates.mydomain.com
users.mydomai n.com

etc etc....

Now - am I going to run into problems when using a template from templates.mydomain.com which then needs to call content from content.mydomain.com - I would have thought this would be fine as the page will be something like index.asp?content=190344 and the content ID looked up in the db to pull the page from content.mydomain.com into the template. (god I hope that makes sense).

Also - does anyone have experience with ASP password protection... I have used ASPsecured and wondered if this is up to the task of protecting my site which will be a subscription site when linked into an SQL server DB? Or is there a better solution anyone knows about?

And as a third point. Is there another way of setting up an image base path in ASP rather than making
imgsrc = "images.mydomain.com/"
imgname = "whatever.gif"

then all links as <img src="<%imgsrc%><%imgname%>" 62; as this seems a bit of a waste of time. I am looking for something like the BASE HREF in HTML. thanks a lot!
