In my ASP file I use

Dim objConn
Set objConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
objConn .ConnectionString = "DBQ=c:websharewwwrootNew_Temp_App raining_records emps.mdb;DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}"
objConn.Open

objConn.Close
set objConn = Nothing

to open and then close the database. However, if I then try to compact the database (Access database), it says the database file is in use by user admin. That makes me think that the connection is still live. What am I doing wrong? Currently, all of the files are being run on Personal Web Server. Another note: When I go to shut down the machine, I never get the shutdown screen. This only happens when I run the ASP database connection files. This tells me that files are still open and Windows can&#039t do its proper shutdown of tmp files.
