I am wondering how to make it possible on an asp page to download a file on demand. I have never done this and am looking for any info.<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Bill
If the file is not of a type that the webserver recognises as one that it should interpret as a web page, you will get the "Open/Save As" dialog. So unless you are trying to download .Asp or .Htm files, you should be OK.
Do you mean you want to give somebody the option to send a file to the website? Or do you mean you want to provide a page with links to files?<BR><BR>Oliver.
I want to have a link where they click the link and are able to download a text file.<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Bill
As I said above, just do the link. It will work.
Actually what I want to so is when they click the download link it will create the file on the fly and then download it to them.<BR><BR>Bill
