    Default Excel to SQL 7.0

What is an efficient method to transferring Data from Excel(1000 rows by 20 cols )spreadsheet to a SQL Server 7.0 database in an intranet application.<BR>My initial thinking is to Use Excel object to read rows and cols and write dynamic SQL to insert/Update the database table.<BR>Moreover, some excels have named ranges to be read and each range goes to a database table.<BR>

This may sound silly, but if this is a one-off deal and not a repeating task, I use Access. Create an access database and create a link to your SQL table. Import the data from excel to a new table, then write an append query to add the data to the sql table. Faster than writing code, but if you need something to do alot, then using VBA might be more efficient.
