I have this data in an Access table: 1693-0063-6184
I want to turn it into to this: 169300636184
The numbers are never the same.
Suggestions?
Thanks!
Click on "VBScript Reference" in the left panel of this page.

Click on "Functions" in the list of topics that appears.

Click on "Replace" in the list of functions.

Read.

I would do this inside access if at all possible, but it will work from an ASP page.

Update MyTable Set MyField = Replace(MyField,"-","")

That's all there is to it.
If you want to remove the dash from records already in your DB, then use that statement. If you want to keep the dash in the DB and just display the numbers w/o dashes, then you should use the replace() function in your page in the same manner.
So if you wanted to change the data in the DB, Shane is definitely right--go this route.

My bad.
I'm trying to miipulate this data in an Access db.
