.. custom programming.<BR><BR>It's actually a product that I think would be great fun to write.<BR><BR>I would do it by setting up an e-mail server like IMAIL that has a "nobody" alias. What that does, is whenever an e-mail is sent to an account that doesn't exist, it's forwarded to the address defined in this alias. I would have the alias direct all e-mails to a "SmtpFax" mailbox.<BR><BR>I would then write a VB application that checks this "SmtpFax" mailbox for new messages using a POP3 control. Once it finds a new message, mark it as read. Then, I would check the "To" address to make sure it's a 10-digit telephone number. If it is, I would use a fax control to send the fax to that telephone number.<BR><BR>You aren't going to easily get away with this without some 3rd party expenses. I know *I* personally wouldn't want to write everything it takes to retrieve e-mail from a mailbox. And, I wouldn't want to write everything it takes to connect to a modem and send a fax.
