ok ... forgive me if I was in a hurry when I wrote it

I am using the CDONTS component to send email from an ASP page ... when the reciepient is a HOTMAIL account (ie firstname.lastname@example.org) ... the mail is received ... when it is email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org .. IT DOES NOT WORK

The only line of code I change is:
mail.To = "email@example.com"

TO

mail.To = "firstname.lastname@example.org"

????????? ... any ideas why it would not send to AOL or Yahoo ... THANKS!
...that's what I read the first time. Heh.

Ummm...have you tried CC:ing to yourself, to see if it's a CDONTs failure based on the address or an error elsewhere in the process?

Is this HTML email?

Thanks for the feedback!! I tried it using the HOTMAIL for the TO, YAHOO/AOL for the CC ... then the other way around. Both times it sent it to the HOTMAIL ONLY!!

Here is the actual code I am using:

Set objNewMail = Server.CreateObject("CDONTS.NewMail")
objNewMail.From = "FAMILY_INFO_PAGE"
objNewMail.To = "email@example.com"
objNewMail.Cc = "firstname.lastname@example.org"
objNewMail.BodyFormat = 0
objNewMail.MailFormat = 0
objNewMail.Subject = "FamilyInfoUpdated"
objNewMail.Body = "hi"
objNewMail.Send
Set objNewMail = Nothing

Thanks again!!
AHAHHHH .. Ok I tried that .. I tried just plain text .. then no mailformat at all .. then no mailformat or bodyformat at all .. and it still only sends it to HOTMAIL .. and these YAHOO and AOL accounts are my personal accouts .. I know they work

.. am I wrong to assume that this has to have something to do with my server?
With AOL, this is probably your problem

objNewMail.From = "FAMILY_INFO_PAGE"

change that to

objNewMail.From = "email@example.com(FAMILY_INFO_PAGE)"
AOL is picky about having the "From" as a true email address
