Easy question...

Can I do an ALTER TABLE statement using ADO to an Access table? I need to reset the default value of a column. Can I use standard SQL/DDL?
Yes. Of course.

If you can find the right SQL to do the job in Access, itself, then you can use that same SQL via ADO/ASP.

No, as Access does not support the standard syntax for changing a default value you have to use a propriary variant, e.g.

ALTER TABLE tblCustomers
ALTER COLUMN Address TEXT(40) DEFAULT Unknown
...more carefully!

Yeah, changing default value. Sorry about that.
