While I've got you, maybe you could help ... I know it is against coding etiquette to 'sieze' the browser, but I just need to know how to perform some cleanup on the server after the client's browser has closed ... ?
...do it via the popup.

The popup is an ASP page that does the cleanup and then just puts a nondescript message such as "Thanks for visiting our site" on the screen and then closes itself after a few seconds.

Also as noted in the other thread, you *might* (probably will) want to be aware of *why* the onUnload is happening. If the user pushed the SUBMIT button, then presumably you don't want to do the session clean up quite yet.

That's what that other thread was all about.
