I have two tables, one table contains all possible department names and the second table contains the jobs for that department. The user goes to a page that lists all of the categories from the first table on the page. When the user clicks the application then goes to a page called openings, this table uses the department name passed in the parameter to give all of the results back. If however no record exists I have code in place to redirect to a no jobs page. Everything works, but I need to be able to pass the department name to the no jobs page to display this "There are currently no XXXXXXX positions." I currently have the depname as a hidden field on the form, but since the asp code is read before the form code is I'm not able to pass anything.
