    Default related links

I want to create a news section that has "related links" in it. So if you go to a story about bob's new toupee, the related links would be bob1, bob2 etc etc, or toupee 1 blah blah blah. Is ASP (using VBSCRIPT) the right language for this? Or would a server side stored procedure on the SQL database be a better idea?

    Default Yes

Definitely one or the other would be better.<BR><BR>And maybe if you tell us where you are going to get the info about the links *FROM* we can make a better answer?<BR><BR>

Default What are you talking about..

If you use a stored procedure you will still need ASP to show that info to the user. <BR><BR>So, to answer part 1: Yes, ASP is the right language for this. <BR><BR>Now, number 2, should you use a stored procedure. That depends on your database is setup. If the SQL statement is simple then why bother with a stored proc. If you&#039;re doing 2 self joins and 6 left outer joins, for example, then stick it in a stored proc. <BR><BR>My guess is that this statement will be pretty simple and no stored proc is required. <BR><BR><BR><BR>
