K....same application....someone had started to explain their ideas of how I might get this to work a few months back.

I've got a db table with user info, including login email and password. My question is this.....how can I prevent simultaneous logins for the same login ID?

for instance... If I log in as firstname.lastname@example.org....I want to prevent someone else logging in using my email while I'm logged in. Granted...I know this can be done by adding a "logged in" column with a value that can be checked on login....BUT.....how can I have the database expire or automatically change that value once the user has either logged off...or closed out the session?
