I have a custom validator control. I have server code which tries to validate two fields.
These fields are dropdownlist.
I populate this data from a datasource stored in a table.
Then I add a row at the end of the list which is equla to " " white space

What happens is that the validator does not work/fire when my data is white space. " "
It does not fire the servervalidator event. But, if I put data like "none" and test for "none" it fires off the validator. Is there a way around this? I prefer to use white space.

One more question:
Is there a way to add the white space at the beginning of the dropdownlist although I am poplating the list via a table?
If I do an ADD() before I populate the datasource, then it overwrites the whitespace so I was forced to add it to the end of the dropdownlist.
Any ideas?
