I have a dropdownlist which gets its data from a datalist. When the user selects from this ddlist it displays another page through a response.redirect. The page displayed will display a data subset depending on the queryparameter passed (which is the value selected from the ddlist). I set the autopostback = true and placed the response.redirect in the onselectedindexchanged event. So far so good! The problem arised when i added a textbox control which is supposed to act as a searchbox. It seems that since the dropdownlist has been set to autopost=true, the form ignores whatever i am trying to do with the textbox (i.e. when user types in some text call ontextchanged event and use response.redirect to call a different page with different data). Can these two controls co-exist together when they are both set to autopost=true. Is there some way of dealing with this other than having a button for each control. Even if i had to use the buttons, if the user moves to the next page and then moves back using the BACK of the internet explorer the dropdownlist has already a value selected and the textbox is totally ignored even if its button is pressed. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!
