    Hi all,<BR><BR>I am pretty new to this world of .Net. Can anyone tell me how to check the following things in ASP.Net the things we do in classic asp<BR><BR>sql="select * from User where user_id=1"<BR>set rs=ObjDBConn.execute(sql)<BR><BR>if not rs.eof then<BR> do something<BR>else<BR>response.write "No records found"<BR>end if<BR><BR><BR>Vals

    The recordset object as known from ADO and classic asp does not exist in ADO/ASP.NET.<BR><BR>You may want to look using a DataAdapter that fills a DataSet. The DataSet is like the big brother on steroids to the recordset.

    Default For that simple of a test...

    Look into a DataReader.
