    Default Error MSG

    Access is denied. <BR>Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. <BR><BR>Exception Details: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. <BR><BR>The ASP.NET process is not authorized to access the requested resource. For security reasons the default ASP.NET process identity is &#039;{machinename}ASPNET&#039;, which has limited privileges. Consider granting access rights to the resource to the ASP.NET process identity. <BR><BR>To grant ASP.NET write access to a file, right-click the file in Explorer, choose "Properties" and select the Security tab. Click "Add" to add the "{machinename}ASPNET" user.     What exactly is your question? If you are running under default settings, IIS used the {machinename}ASPNET account for access to network resources. There are a few ways that you can fix this error.<BR><BR>1. You can set up your web app to impersonate a user account on the machine that has access to the resource you are hitting.<BR><BR>2. You can change the username attribute of the &#060;processModel&#062; tag in the machine.config file to SYSTEM rather than MACHINE. (Not Recommended for security reasons)<BR><BR>3. Or you can modify the permissions that the {machinename}ASPNET account has, allowing it to access the resource you are trying to communitcate with/manipulate, like the error message states above.<BR><BR>Good luck!<BR><BR>
