Hi. I'm experiencing some strange things with my asp.net forms using html server controls for textboxes and textareas. When I enter special characters (such as " and &), they are automatically html-encoded when they are stored in the database. Is this the act of the html controls? If so, is there a way to make them not do it? I am using stored procedures for all my adds and updates to the database... would this have anything to do with it?

Also, once I have double quotes in the database (as ASCII), how can I display these properly in a regular textbox (not an html control)?

Thanks,
Corey
