Default INPUT TYPE="FILE" question

    I'm trying to set the value of the input type file when viewed in the browser the box is blank. Here is an example of what I'm trying to do. Does the value attribute not work?
<FORM METHOD="POST" action="upload.asp" ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data">
<INPUT TYPE="FILE" SIZE="40" NAME="FILE1" VALUE="C:myfile.txt">
</BR>
<INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" VALUE="Upload">
</FORM>
Default Can't do issue...

    Since it easy to auto-submit a form, if you could also set the VALUE= of an <INPUT TYPE=FILE>, then anybody could put a popup window all over the web that would try to upload things from the user machines such as registry files, log files, favorites files, etc., etc.

So, sorry, but this is a place where user interaction is *required* in all browsers.
