The theoretical limit for an Access database is 256 simultaneous connections. In practical cases you will experience severe performance problems when having around 20 simultaneous connections.

The mistake most people is that they equate the number of visits to a page with the number of required simultaneous database connections. Thus it is possible to handle 50-100 simulatenous visitors with 20 database connections. This depends on the application of course.

Bottom line, Access will not scale that well so if you are expecting much traffic, go for something else.

Thanks. It's going to be hard to know how many people will be accessing the site but I'm going to try to limit the connections to the mdb database. I'll just have to keep tabs on the performance and go from there.
