    Default Browser's back button

I have a web application that redirects to a new page automatically, and pressing the back button redirects right back to the same page. How could I make it so that when the user presses the Back button on the browser, it actually goes back two pages? I have heard that location.replace is the way to go, since it modifies the history, but can't find the right combination to get it working. Any help?
