Hi,

I'm trying to create an asp.net support package for a portal which allows users to log support requests online. I'm using ms sql 2k server for the database.

The problem I have is that I'm trying to create an administrative overview page which allows a support person to see how many support logs are outstanding per company. I can't figure out how to get the numbers out of the database in a single sql statement.

I am using 3 different tables to build the query:

problems
registered_companies
registered_users

The following columns in the tables are used:

problems (table):
username
status

registered_u sers (table):
username
companyid

registere d_companies (table):
companyid
company_name

You can see where the tables would link. I'm trying to get sql to return the different company names and the corresponding number of outstanding support calls.

Is it possible to do this as one statement? If yes then could anybody give me any hints.

Thanks in advance.

Robert.
