I am loading a dBase file into an MS SQL table using the stored procedure command:

SELECT * INTO sqltable FROM OPENROWSET(&#039MSDASQL&#039, &#039dsn=xdsn; Driver=Microsoft dBase Driver&#039, &#039select * from dbffile&#039)

This works fine locally but does not work on the server at my Web Host. When I try and save this in a stored procedure on the host, I get an error:

ADO error [OLE/DB provider returned message: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified] OLE DB provider &#039MSDASQL&#039 reported an error

I have no problem on either server when I do a simple connect in ASP but that doesn&#039t help me import the file.

Any idea what the problem is or any suggestions to an alternative approach to using ASP to import a dbf file to SQL?
