Hi Folks,
I have an application that gets a list of reports from the database and then outputs the lists. Each report number outputted will be a link to a report in a folder on the server. I use to check if the file existed before outputting the link but this was proving too costly time wise. Now i have a client side function that when the mouse is over the link if the file does not exist then a message box in forms the user. However i am getting the message box regardless of whether the report is there or not. Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers,

Neil

Fun ction checkFile(getreport)

dim savfile,objFSO,radio,number,filepath,filein,fso

savfile = "\ho163sMarsReports\"
getreport = savfile & rtrim(getreport)

Set FSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

if not FSO.FileExists(getreport) Then
msgbox "There is no Document Stored for the report Number Chosen!"
end if

End Function
