    Default CInt versus CLng

    I understand the different numeric ranges of CInt and CLng, but does anyone know a way to tell which function should be applied to a numeric variable, when you dont know how large the number will be?.<BR>Certain databases that are access by generic asp code, sometimes are in the CLng range instead of the CInt range, how can I dynamically adjust for this?<BR><BR>Thanks in advance<BR>Dana Cobb
