Default CDONTS and Margins

I'm using cdonts to post an 'alert' message when a new ticket is entered. The alert contains a URL back to that ticket.
The complete URL and parameters are often longer than 74 characters. which 'breaks' the url as the text is being 'wrapped' at 74 characters.

I've sent the email to a few different email clients and it seems to be coming to the clients this way.

I've done some reading on CDONTS but can't seem to find any reference to 'margins' or page width controls..

Any advice would be welcome and appreciated.

Thank You for your time and consideration in this matter.

- - -
Micke

Default Is sending an HTML email..

    .. an option?

If so, you could easily put as much as you want into an <a href="url">.

Or, what about shortening your URL to a redirector page?

The redirector page, based on the action, redirect you to the full, long URL.
