Default ????

I have a results page that puts one line results in the middle frame. If any of the lines are clicked on, the details appear in the bottom frame.

The problem is that the first time the initial results appear, because links have not been activated and the second script not called, the bottom frame displays an error message (as the script for that window, has not received any info.)
How can I write code that tells the browser to display a blank frame untill the middle frame&#039s links are clicked on?
Hope this makes sense. Can anyone give any direction?
Thanks
