Default Dynamic Database Connection

OK.....I'm using VS.Net and I'm trying to create a database connection. In ASP 3.0, I'd simply create an application variable in the global.asa and set it to "DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=URL=fpdb/database.mdb". This doesn't seem to work.

I've tried changing the provider to Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 and I've even tried using a Server.MapPath("fpdb/database.mdb"). No luck there, either.

I know I can set a key in the appSettings of the Web.config file, but I want it to happen dynamically, as my ISP is going to have a different physical location for the file.

Any ideas about how to set the source of the database without specifying the physical location and without setting up a DSN?
