Default How can I capture the time a user is accessing a site?

I would like to capture the time a user is accessing the site. I know that I can use the session on_start and the abandon method, but how about when the user exits the site with logging out or if their connection is dropped. What vbscript function can be used as a timer?

Well, there is a "session on_end" sub too. I haven&#039t done this or anything, but if I did the first thing I would try is when the session opens assign a data variable:

Session("StartDateTime") = now

then in the session on_end sub, do a DateDiff

DateDiff(&#039mm&#039, Session("StartDateTime"), now)

I could be wrong about some of the syntax, I&#039m pulling it all from the top of my head. But this should give you the number of minutes they were on your site.

Hope I helped

Nathan
