    To grant ASP.NET write access to a file, right-click the file in Explorer, choose "Properties" and select the Security tab. Click "Add" to add the "{machinename}ASPNET" user. Highlight the ASP.NET account, and check the Write box in the Allow column.<BR><BR><BR>this message show up when i run a simple page to write some text in a txt file with the StreamWriter. But i cant understand it.. i must open the file where? in explorer? (IE?) i set the user to Administrator in the controll pannel but nothing changes.<BR>How can i resolve it? thx a lot!

    Open Explorer, navigate to the directory that you are writing to, right-click the folder, assign permissions to the account as specified in your post.
