Because we have a application sitting on the clients in Access. Our Reps use it and then process a file to be exported. Then they logg on to our extranet and and upload a file to our server. Then our server, if a file is ready, will prompt our reps to download a file. Then the reps will save on their hardrive.

Once file is saved on the hard drive the rep fire up their application and system will import the new data and then the system will check for the file that they sent to us when it finds it system will if then prompt the user 'to ask if they have sent file to server' if they answer yes then system will backup file and let in application, if file not sent application shuts down.

The thing is my boss really wants the file they sent to us, on their client, to be backed up on their client immediately after the upload process completes. He says that the timing will be more appropriate if it is done right here.

I know this is alot of information, but...you asked.
