Default Automating Outlook from ASP

I want my ASP code to send an email but can&#039t use CDO because I&#039m behind a firewall and the SMTP port has been closed.

I previously developped a VB application that sends emails by automating Outlook. It worked perfectly so I figured I would port the VB code to ASP. Unfortunatly, it didn&#039t work :-(

Here is a snippet from my VB prog:
Dim objMail As Outlook.MailItem
Set objMail = CreateObject("Outlook.Application.8").CreateItem(o lMailItem)
...

Here is the ASP version:
Dim objMail
Set objMail = CreateObject("Outlook.Application.8").CreateItem(o lMailItem)
...

The "CreateItem" method causes an error so I modified the code:
Dim objMail, objItem
Set objMail = CreateObject("Outlook.Application.8")
Set objItem = objMail.CreateItem(olMailItem)
...

Alas, I receive the same error message. Anyone can help?

    Try this:

Or:

Neither of these Articles directly work with Outlook, but they may give you better alternatives then CDO/ CDONTS.

The first link seems great but I receive an error because the server can&#039t create an object of type "MAPI.Session".

How do I install this object on my IIS server?
