Explaining the DB was taking too long. <BR><BR>Not a complex issue but it does slightly break DB normalization rules but it is because of a backend accounting and fulfillment issue.<BR><BR>The thread is here:<BR><BR>okay, so if I use the UPDATE when an order is processed and store the funny field in the ORDERDETAILS table I can extract it when I want to.<BR><BR>But, is this the best way to go about this. Since that data is only for export coudld I not run a SP to create a new TABLE with all the data I needed, assemble the funny field, add it to the TABLE and export the new TABLE? <BR><BR>Your thoughts and insight are appreciated.<BR>Thanks<BR>Ian
