    Default Windows Authenication

    Hi, i am trying to figure out how to bring up the generic windows username and password dialog form that u see on a lot of websites. I want to be able to set a username and password using that dialog box, any suggestions on how to bring it up.

    it sounds like you&#039;re really trying to do Basic auth.<BR>this is very simple.<BR>all you need to do is pick a folder that you want to be protected and using your ISM change the directory security from anonymous to basic.<BR>that&#039;s it.<BR>now IIS will use the username and password provided to check people it will allow or disallow them to access the folder based on the ntfs permissions of theat folder.
