The problem is that you need to have a email server like exchange in order for it to work. I thought there might be a way to do it through ActiveX since you can perform so many VB type functions in it and even create ADO.
I do this every day in an environment that has an Exchange server and running active directory. But since ActiveX uses just VB I thought that CDONTS would work. I have since then tried it and it doesn't
.. an ActiveX object, I'd guess that the code would be very similar to ASP code.<BR><BR>I don't know how you would go about configuring the CDONTS on a non-IIS server, though. Maybe it would be better to buy a 3rd party e-mail COM object (AspEmail.com actually had/has a free version) and use that instead.<BR><BR>As for code, I haven't done any of it -- but, like I said, if you can instantiate an ActiveX COM object, you're set.
