Default MySQL and ASP

    Why do I get the following error...:

Query-based update failed because the row to update could not be found

...with my ASP application using a DSN connection to a MYSQL database. I first used it with MSAccess also with DSN and it worked perfectly.

Here is the code:

set eigenaar = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
eigenaar .ActiveConnection = MM_gw_STRING
eigenaar.Source = "SELECT * FROM Eigenaar WHERE Gebruikersnaam = '" + Replace(eigenaar__MMColParam, "'", "''") + "'"
eigenaar.CursorType = 0
eigenaar.CursorLocation = 2
eigenaar.LockType = 3
eigenaar.Open()
eigenaar.fields("name") = Replace(request.form("name"), "'", "''")
eigenaar.update

    Perhaps it is because you are using MySQL. That language is not the same SQL language as MS access or MS SQL Server from microsoft. You should find some MySQL forums on connection and updating an MySql DB.
