I connect to my Access mdb file using the DSN-Less method but hit a problem when trying to update the database (no problem with database retrieval). Read from somewhere that I will need to allow write permission to guest accounts in order for the update to work. I also found that I can&#039t specify a password for my database, if I do the connection will fail even if i specify the UID and PWD parameters. In this case, people can just download my mdb file and get all the data in the file, that is if they know where to look for it. Is there a way to make my file more secure? Why can&#039t I specify a password for my Database if I am using DSN-Less connection when I can do it with a System DSN. Thank you for your time.

richard@bartercave.com
