Default Event handlers. I know, these are the basics :-)

    App summary:

I am using winhttp5 to do some communication between sites. All communication is handled from within a custom component that I have written. Once the data is received from the remote site, and processed, a response.write is performed and the user know we are complete.

Problem: I want to send a winhttp.abort() if the remote site does not respond before the receive timeout setting. Now, MS says that an abort() message must be sent from within an event (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/networking/winhttp/IWinHttpRequestAbortScr.asp). Of course, I assume that this would be best if it was done in the OnError event. However, I am not familiar with how to add those events to my component/asp. Any help would be apreciatted.

Default ASP has no access to events

    It ain't listening.

I don't know if VB DLLs do either... I couldnt' get them to work with winsock programs.

Maybe C++ COM Objects?
