Well it's true that there are so many books but not all books cover the method of starting a good coding foundation. I wouldn't call it re-inventing the wheel, just making it better or even maybe starting your own site akin to 4guysfromrolla. No doubt 4guysfromrolla is an excellent site but find it does have a few drawbacks. For instance, their search engine isn't all that good. The topics covered do include a good range of topics but nothing covering basic grounds good and secure coding. <BR><BR>I might be wrong but I do wish someone would write a book covering the basics to the advanced topics in detail not in a gist.
"Professional Active Server Pages 3.0" ???<BR><BR>That book is over 600 or 700 pages, and *it* doesn't go into the kind of detaily you might want.<BR><BR>How many people would read a 4,000 page book? And how long would it take to write one? I'm not sure I'm gonna live that long. <grin/><BR><BR>
