Hi,

Hope this is not a silly question. How do I validate white spaces in javscript when the users enter in the form? For example, I normal will alert if the users do not put in any data for the text fields, however what if they put in white spaces?
In javascript, I have something like
if (theForm.lastname.value=="" &#124&#124 theForm.lastname.value==null){alert(''); }

but it still bypass if the users just put in white spaces. How do I prevent it?

Thanks in advance,
Tam
