Default Poll count

I'm making a poll on my website. When a user submits a vote, it saves their IP address (so they can't vote twice) and what they vote for. I have no problem with this.

Now for showing the results, I need to write an SQL query the will return the total number of votes for each category. I'd rather not have to do a database call for each category, is there a way I can return the number of votes for each all in one recordset??? I'm using access so I don't have access to views and not sure about stored procedures, I've never used those in access, I ussually use Microsoft SQL.
