Default <input type=file ?default?

is there any way to default the starting directory of your browse feature?

when a user clicks on a button to browse for a file, i want to start them in a particular directory.

    Default Nope.

The file input type CANNOT take a default starting location or file. Neither can the location or file be set using any scripting.

This is for security reasons. For example, what happens if a user goes to a web page and you have a hidden form which uploads their password files using JS automatically? If you could do it, it would be possible. Actually, it would be easy.

Craig.
