Default Can you dynamically create an asp page vs. just a text file??

I want to create an .asp file from within an .asp page rather than just a text file (.txt) with the CreateTextFile cmd. Am I wasting my time? Thanks to any one who can help!

Well, maybe you&#039re wasting your time, it depends what you want to do. An ASP file is nothing more than a text file with the extension .asp rather than .txt. So, yes, you can create an ASP file using FSO&#039s CreateTextFile.<BR><BR>What are you wanting to do with the newly created ASP page?

Thanks for your response. What I want to do is this: when a new user joins our site, I want to create a folder for them on the root (so their web address will be www.mycompany.com/theircompany) and then put an .asp page inside that folder which will be their home page. I have an idea of how this would be done, but I just wanted to see if anyone had done it before. That way, I wouldn&#039t waste my time trying to reinvent the wheel or, alternatively, trying to find a way to turn lead into gold!
