Is it possible to print an XML or HTML file without opening it up in the browser? Not the code, but the page as if it had been formatted through a browser?
There are monkey-arounds that you can do, but none of them are really graceful.
So if you don't run the html through a browser window, exactly how will the printer know what format its in. Since each browser formats slightly different.
Open a browser window with the text, print it, close the browser window. That's one...<BR><BR>
... that doesn't have a visible interface. It could use the Internet Explorer control to render the page and automatically print it.
Can you explain that! I assume I would need to write an activeX control in VB
I need it to work only for IE5
Or you could do it in notepad and use command-line compilers which are available...<BR><BR>But I wouldn't recommend notepad.<BR><BR>Craig.
Maybe you can explain what you are trying to accomplish.
