Default Logging Out of Basic Authentication

    Hi,

I've got an ASP page set up that requires Basic Authentication to access it (running IIS 5, on an intranet). The page then uses the Request.ServerVariables("Auth_User") to tell who you are on that page.

I would like to re-direct people back to this page, and force the authentication to be cleared so that you have to log-in each time you view the page. Is there a way to do this?? Thanks so much.

    Default Nope

the only way is maybe set a session variable and then check the access based on this variable. When you abandon the session, FORCE the browser to close......then the user can open a new browser and login again

If the user decides NOT to close the browser, you are still fine cause the session has been abandoned and you are grangint access to a page based on a session variable
