Default escape characters

    Hi,
having a asp input page, when a user uses (i.e. /r /n /t), how does IIS handle it? does it process them and makes them just regular characters? or is there a security check i should be aware of?
thanks,

    Default in ASP

/r /n /t are not escape characters. they aren't in C++ or Java either... these are, however:

etc... ever try entering that in Java or C++??? probably not, since you don't know what it does. say you type in the console in a c++ program... it'll write into the string that you read it into. these escape characters are only for when writing the program, not execution of the program. learn assembly, you'll see what i mean when you learn about the dollar sign ;-)
