I have an application that needs to return a text file dynamically generated by an ASP script to the client which needs to be saved as a pure *.txt file

I have it working by clearing the buffer and responding with the "text/plain" HTTP header tag, however the browser still sees the original ASP file name and proposes that xxx.ASP filename as the default filename when the user tries to save the file.

Is there a way to fool the browser through some HTTP variable that the original filename is a xxx.TXT ?

Thanks,
Xavier WERQUIN
xavier@werquin.com
