Default win xp and cdonts

    Hi,

Since I upgraded my machine to Windows XP Pro, I have had all sorts of weird things happening with my ASP code. I often get messages telling me the database may be read-only etc, and now I am getting yet another puzzling problem. When I call a page that uses CDONTS, I get the following error:

Server object, ASP 0177 (0x8007007E)
8007007e
/pages/publictrustee/confirmrequisition.asp, line 174

line 174 is: Set objCDO = Server.CreateObject("CDONTS.NewMail")

I have got no idea why this is no longer working. Does anyone else know? Has anyone else had any teething problems with XP?

Cheers

ab

For XP, cdonts has been fully depreciated. Use cdosys instead.

An example can be found here.

Cheers,

A. P.
